FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR UPDATE (1070) - October 26th [2026]

This course will provide updated legislative content of Penal Code Section 853a. This eight-hour (8) course is designed to provide Firearms Instructors with updated information on safety protocols, range preparation, legal issues, the fundamentals of shooting, weapon manipulation, and target analysis. Taking this course covers ALL weapon platforms to include pistol, patrol rifle, and shotgun and will satisfy requirements set by POST bulletin 2024-41.
